Starting 2016, January, Casio released the Celvianos online.Casio’s Digital Piano AP460 can be a great alternative to Casio’s PX860, since, Casio Celviano Digital Piano AP460 is a truly a nice upgrade version of Casio Privia Digital Piano PX860.Casio Celviano AP460 is certainly a digital piano with an excellent design and finish.Casio’s new Privia digital piano PX860 has been one of the most sought digital pianos since its release.
The touch feels great as it has graded hammered action, it has ivory key tops and it has 256 polyphony while Yamaha’s Arius digital pianos, which are the closest competitors, have only 128 polyphony. With classic sounds of Mellow, grand, classic,… etc. The Casio AP460 Allows dynamic preference and orchestra functions. Casio AP460 is pretty much a Casio PX860 with Much more Luxurious and better speaker system.

Sound
Casio AP460 Celviano Series has high 256 Polyphony and can provide even more stability that compared to other digital pianos. Piano sound includes concert, classic, modern, mellow, and bright; The 5 different sound can allow user to a much deeper self amusement. Compared to Casio Privia PX-860, although the sound system is much better as if the precision of the sound has upgraded.
This is due to bigger cabinet and finish. The resonance is lot thicker and makes grandiose sound. Thus the speakers on the PX860 protrudes whole lot more due to it’s slim style. The Casio Celviano AP460 has speakers inserted inward a lot more, giving you more resonance. This allows you to feel the Casio’s trademark “AIR Sound.”

Touch Action
Casio AP460 Celviano Series’ unique action is 88-key Weighted Grade Hammer Action which has same size and action as an acoustic piano and with lower keys heavier and becomes lighter as keys get higher. Casio PX860 has same action.
Casio AP460 Celviano Series has no spring in the action making an emulation of grand piano action system instead of an upright piano which absolutely requires spring system. When playing with a bigger finish design like the Casio Celviano AP460, You will reach a lot more stability in your playability. This gives you lot more feel to AP460 than PX860.
Pedal
Both PX860 and the AP460 is made with 3 Pedal. From left, it will go Soft Pedal, Sustenuto Pedal, Damper Pedal. Casio PX860 and AP460’s difference in pedal is the length. Most acoustic and grand piano pedals are made with 4″ also, AP460 is 4″. Unfortunately, the Casio PX860 is made of 3″ because it’s slim design.
Function maybe same but for sensitive players, these are something to be considered. If you would like a piano that best suits for realism. Then really think about it and take action!
Design Finish
Apart from sound and touch action, the design of the digital piano is bery important too. You would be using your piano for at least 5 to 10 years. Casio AP460 would be a part of your home. Casio PX860 is a slim modern style. Casio AP460 on the other hand has a big cabinet with distinctly designed legs, giving you the feel of stability and sturdiness. PX860 would require you to purchase the bench separately, while AP460 includes a strong, luxury adjustable matching bench. Adjustable benches are expensive. This gives more value to the Casio AP460.
