Layer (Dual layer) | Yamaha CP40 has layer function, with this technique, you can play two different sounds simultaneously on one key. You will be able to play ‘piano and string’ sound or ‘piano and organ’ sound simultaneously on one key. You will be able to make the performance more beautiful and will give you more enjoyment.

Split | Yamaha CP40 has split function that you can play two different instrument sounds on each hand within a keyboard. For example, left hand can play vibratone, right hand can play piano; it gives effect of one person playing two different instrument sound.

Yamaha CP40 has Yamaha MOTIF synthesizer based voice library, it has 297 voices.

Acoustic Piano sound|

–CFX grand piano sound- Yamaha CP40 has CFX piano sound which is powerful, projects to the end of any concert hall, even over symphony orchestra. Yet, it is delicate and expressive.

–CFIIIS grand piano sound – Yamaha CP40 has CFIIIS piano sound which is hand-crafted grand piano. It is resonant, has darker quality in mid range, and fits well with small ensemble.

–S6 grand piano sound – Yamaha CP40 has S6 piano sound which has copper-wound strings that make its sound very warm, harmonious,mellow, and resonant. It goes well with quiet vocals and ballads.
